"These books will not read like normal books. That's because I am a writer for the ears, not the eyes. For nearly 30 years I was a writer of news stories and radio editorials as a broadcast journalist, and I cannot change my ways now. Writing has always been a passion for me. I had my first radio show when I was in the 7th grade. That's also the year that I had my first published story (in the school yearbook) and I had my first published letter to the editor (in the Muskegon Chronicle). That passion didn't stop when, decades later at retirement age, I began my third career as the Founder and President of Humanity for Prisoners."

- Doug Tjapkes, Author, Broadcast Journalist, and Founder of Humanity for Prisoners

"A collection of selected spiritual commentaries by Doug Tjapkes, broadcast journalist and founder of Humanity for Prisoners, a proven champion for the humane treatment of the incarcerated."

- David G. Myers, Professor of Psychology, Hope College, and the author of 17 books, including popular textbooks and several dealings with issues related to Christian faith.
